Newborn Photography Peoria Illinois by Christie Newell
Master of Photography Degree, Craftsman Degree and Certified Professional Photographer
Newborn photography is one thing that makes me whole as a photographer. My mom, Barb Primm started Sonshine Portrait Design in Peoria Illinois 40 years ago specializing in family, children, high school senior and wedding photography. I am so blessed that God gave me this gift and her love for photography has been passed down to me. Our portrait studio still specializes in those but, newborn photography is what makes me tick. When I finish a newborn session it's one of the biggest adrenaline rushes. It's so amazing to me that my job can make me feel so complete. I know my job was done well when my clients tear up when they see their portraits for the first time.
A lot goes into a newborn session, it's not just come in for newborn pictures. I want to cater to my client... creating art pieces to last a lifetime.
It starts with a client consultation. Meeting the parents to be, learning their style and the things they love. Building a session and an experience that is above and beyond. Much planning, thought and detail goes into every session. I love incorporating rustic antique things for an organic feel it has become the style I am known for. Playing with textures, color harmony and composition sets my newborn photography apart.
The most recent peanut in the studio has a nursery filled with feathers and momma likes all things girly. So a quick trip to hobby lobby for some feathers and spray paint. Long night of spray painting branches I already had and hot glueing gold feathers to make this set special to them.
My clients say my love for newborn photography doesn't go unnoticed.
