EXPECTING MOMMAS : since you can’t have professional FRESH FORTY-EIGHT sessions right now here are a couple tips so you can capture these sweet moments yourself. These are days you won’t be able to get back, to redo... please please make sure your documenting it. One of my favorite images is of Theo wrapped in my robe Things to pack to get the best photos you can it’s super simple.
•solid robe or shirt for you and your hubby •solid swaddle wrap for the baby •add a little sleepy cap to give some character
(The reason I say solid is we want the main focus to be all about your baby, if you have on bright colors or lots of pattern it takes away from that focus)
•all white will make for super clean photos
•pack a camera or obviously you will have your phone
•use the rooms light source my favorite is the soft window light
•have the bed or babies bassinet parallel to the window to create light pattern for dimension
•get the little detail shots (example: hospital bands, belly button, babies bands, toes, fluffy hair, hospital card with the stats)
